Deskripsi

Perkembangan industri dalam sektor kimia yang memanfaatkan sumber daya alam minyak dan gas bumi membutuhkan perhitungan yang tingkat akurasi dan validitasnya tinggi baik pada saat awal perancangan hingga pengoperasiannya. Perhitungan  terhadap Heat and Material Balance, Instrumentasi dan pendukungnya amatlah sangat penting. Hysys sebagai software simulasi mengenai teknologi proses kimia dalam rangka perencanaan desain konseptual, optimasi proses, perencanaan bisnis, manajemen aset, dan pemantauan kinerja suatu proses industri, terutama pada industri petrokimia, produksi minyak & gas bumi, pengolahan gas bumi, pengilangan minyak bumi, dan energi panas bumi. Software ini dikembangkan oleh Aspentech, Divisi Pengembangan Teknologi Komersial pada Advanced System for Process Engineering (ASPEN), yaitu sebuah laboratorium sistem proses tingkat lanjut milik Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
