Description
This class will provide the participant with the knowledge needed to properly maintain, service, inspect, select and repair a variety of Industrial gearboxes. The course will be and instructor-led, hands-on class that will allow the participant to physically take apart various industrial gearboxes and learn to properly “set” the gears and how to properly “preload” the bearings for maximum life expectancy. There will be a workbook, handouts and various visual aids used in the classroom to facilitate learning.

There are no prerequisites other than an interest in Industrial gearing and a willingness to participate in a “hands-on” classroom environment.

Performance Objectives
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
– Properly “setup” an industrial gear drive.
– Understand the selection procedures used to select the correct industrial gearbox.
– Troubleshoot industrial gearboxes using failure analysis.
– Select the correct lubrication to ensure maximum life expectancy.
– Correctly remove and replace bearings, seals and gears.

OBJECTIVE

Peserta mengetahui macam macam mesin pembakaran dalam & macam macam generator listrik.
Peserta mengetahui klasifikasi mesin diesel dan generator listrik.
Peserta mampu melakukan pelacakan gangguan dan melakukan perbaikan pada mesin diesel dan generator listrik.
Peserta mampu melakukan instalasi, pengujian dan pencegahan gangguan pada genset.
Peserta mampu melakukan pemeliharaan dan perawatan pada genset.

MATERI PELATIHAN GENERATOR SET

a. Engine Review

Klasifikasi dan prinsip kerja mesin pembakaran dalam ( dua langkah dan empat langkah). Pengukuran pada mesin diesel (Efficiency, Torque, Speed & Power), komponen  komponen mesin diesel dan fungsinya.
b. Sistem Pembakaran

Sistem pembakaran pada mesin diesel
Perhitungan kebutuhan udara teoritis (AFR)
c. Trouble Shooting & Maintenance Diesel Engine

Kurva kinerja mesin diesel dan sistem kontrol, inspection, tuning dengan menggunakan engine analyzer, adjustment inspection, maintenance & repair, troubleshooting analysis.
